Belfast's Caoimhin Agyarko is set to challenge IBF light-middleweight champion Josh Kelly on Saturday, 25 July in Saudi Arabia. This highly anticipated fight will be part of the undercard for Anthony Joshua's return to the ring against Kristian Prenga at the Jeddah Superdome.

Josh Kelly, hailing from Sunderland, will defend his title for the first time after securing the belt in January against Bakhram Murtazaliev. Agyarko was initially slated to face Brandon Adams in a final eliminator in April, but the fight fell through when Adams collapsed prior to the weigh-in. Following this, the IBF sought another final eliminator against Murtazaliev, but Kelly opted for a voluntary first defense, leading to the confirmation of the Agyarko fight.

Agyarko expressed his relief, stating, "I was heartbroken at the time and didn't know what was going to happen after... thankfully there's been a silver lining." He emphasized the challenges he faced during his preparation and the uncertainty after the Adams fight cancellation.

In his last fight, Agyarko secured a split-decision victory over Ishmael Davis at Windsor Park in December. Meanwhile, Kelly has recorded eight consecutive wins since his sole career loss to David Avanesyan in 2021.

Also featured on the undercard is Hamzah Sheeraz's first defense of the WBO super-middleweight title against Simon Zachenhuber from Germany.
