Mark Parrington, a senior scientist, noted the unpredictability of smoke levels following the expected rain, emphasizing the health risks associated with wildfire smoke, which can exacerbate respiratory and cardiovascular issues.

Amid these concerns, President Donald Trump is scheduled to meet with FIFA President Gianni Infantino to discuss the potential health risks posed by the smoke as approximately 80,000 fans prepare to attend the final at the open-air stadium in the Meadowlands.
