Joe Dean achieved a remarkable victory at the Husqvarna British Masters, securing his first DP World Tour title with a stunning three-shot comeback at The Belfry on Sunday.

After a weather delay led to a challenging week, Dean started his final day by birdieing two of the last four holes of a delayed third round, finishing with a score of 71. He entered the final round tied for 25th, seven strokes behind Daniel Hillier.

The 32-year-old surged up the leaderboard with an impressive final-round score of 63, which included nine birdies and four in the last six holes. He set the clubhouse target at 14 under, leaving competitors with a tough challenge.

Key moments included:

• Marco Penge, overnight co-leader, struggled on the back nine after a bogey on the par-five 17th, dropping him behind Dean.
• Jacob Skov Olesen and Niklas Norgaard also failed to secure the late birdies needed to catch up.

Dean's solid start included birdies at the second and on the par-five, followed by additional gains at the fourth and sixth holes. He continued his momentum, tying for the lead after Penge's bogey on the eighth. Dean capped off his round with a tap-in at the par-five 17th and a 10-foot birdie on the final hole.

In the final standings, Hillier, Olesen, Norgaard, and Nacho Elvira shared second place, while Penge fell into a tie for sixth after a level-par finish.

Dean expressed his disbelief at the win, stating, "It's an amazing day... my goal today was to shoot under par as well as possible. Winning wasn't in my thoughts."

The DP World Tour now heads to Switzerland for the Omega European Masters, where Thriston Lawrence is the defending champion.
