Emilie Joramo is making her long-awaited move to the Women’s Super League after signing with Brighton & Hove Albion on a free transfer at the end of June. The 24-year-old Norwegian midfielder has been eyeing this opportunity for years, and now feels ready for the challenge after her time with Hammarby in Sweden.

Joramo expressed her excitement, stating, "I’d been interested in the league for a long time now... Now, everything just felt right." Her journey included a successful stint at Hammarby, where she reached the Europa Cup final last season, and a previous tenure at Rosenborg, helping them win the Norwegian Cup after a 21-year drought.

Brighton had been tracking her progress closely, and Joramo appreciated their commitment:

It’s reassuring for me that they really wanted me... I like to think things through and it has to feel right for me.

Known as a hardworking player, Joramo aims to fit into Brighton's possession-based style under manager Dario Vidosic. "I always give 100% all of the time... I want to play, not just put balls in behind but to keep the ball," she said.
