Brighton & Hove Albion has successfully agreed to sign Femi Azeez, the talented Nigeria winger, from Millwall. The 25-year-old had an impressive season, netting 11 goals and providing eight assists in 37 games, which earned him a spot in the PFA Championship Team of the Year.

Azeez has been eager for a move to the Premier League, prompting Millwall to reject at least three bids from Brighton in recent weeks. His transfer marks a significant moment for Millwall, as it will be their club record sale, initially set at £12.5m, with potential add-ons that could push the total to over £15m.

This signing will be Brighton's 11th acquisition of the summer, following their record £45m purchase of Tottenham centre-back Luka Vuskovic. The Seagulls have also raised substantial funds through player sales, notably Carlos Baleba's £70m move to Manchester United, while Liverpool has shown interest in winger Yankuba Minteh.

Azeez, who joined Millwall from Reading for around £1m in 2024, is now entering the final two years of his contract. He had recently been excluded from Millwall's last three matchday squads by manager Alex Neil.

Additionally, fellow Championship club Wrexham has expressed interest in Azeez. His arrival at Brighton will facilitate a loan move for Seagulls winger Amario Cozier-Duberry, who recently signed a new contract and is expected to join Middlesbrough this season. Cozier-Duberry's move comes as Morgan Whittaker prepares to transfer to Colorado Rapids in Major League Soccer.
