Brentford has set its sights on Pape Matar Sarr, the Tottenham midfielder, as they prepare for the upcoming summer transfer window, according to Sky Sports. The Bees aim to enhance their central midfield options after achieving a commendable top-half finish in the Premier League this season.

Keith Andrews’ squad views the 23-year-old Senegalese international as a vital addition to inject top-flight experience into their midfield. Sarr, who rose to prominence at Tottenham after his transfer from Metz, has made a name for himself as an athletic, box-to-box player under various tactical setups.

Brentford seeks to reshape their engine room, especially with uncertainties surrounding the contracts of key players like Mathias Jensen. Besides Sarr, they are also considering other candidates, including Joey Veerman from PSV and Hayden Hackney from Middlesbrough.

However, securing Sarr will be a significant challenge for Brentford, as he is under scrutiny from elite clubs such as Real Madrid, PSG, and Bayern Munich.
