Bo Nix, the third-year quarterback for the Denver Broncos, has assured fans that his recent fractured right ankle will not hinder his performance in the upcoming 2026 NFL season.

Nix expressed optimism during a recent interview, stating, "I feel great. I feel normal. Nothing's holding me back. I'm out there playing like I normally do and feel really good in my spot." He emphasized his commitment to preparing physically for the long season ahead, noting that he is ahead of where he was last year at this time.

The injury occurred during the divisional round against the Buffalo Bills, where Nix broke his ankle on the second-to-last play of overtime. This left many Broncos fans concerned not only for the team's chances in the conference championship game but also for the 2026 season. Despite the injury, the New England Patriots went on to defeat the Broncos 10-7, advancing to the Super Bowl.

As the new NFL season approaches, Nix has dispelled any concerns about his mobility, asserting, "Absolutely not. I'm going to roll, and I'm going to be as athletic as I can be." He acknowledged the importance of utilizing his strengths, stating that he feels best when he can move freely on the field.

The Broncos will kick off their regular season with a primetime divisional game against the Kansas City Chiefs on Sept. 14. Coach Sean Payton shared his satisfaction with the team's progress, confirming, "We're right where we wanted to be, where we hoped to be at this time." If practice continues on its current trajectory, fans can expect Nix to be fully ready for the Week 1 matchup.
