Thomas Tuchel has made a significant move by calling up Jobe Bellingham to the England squad, influenced by his older brother, Jude Bellingham. This decision marks a shift towards a fresh dynamic as Tuchel prepares for the upcoming Nations League matches against Croatia and Spain.

Tuchel's squad features only 11 out of 22 outfield players from last year's World Cup, emphasizing a new direction for the team. Jobe Bellingham, captain of the England Under-21s and standout for Borussia Dortmund, is eager to fulfill the dream of playing alongside Jude for their country. Jude expressed, "It would be the biggest dream of my life."

Tuchel described the brothers’ inclusion as a “beautiful story,” suggesting that Jobe's presence might inspire Jude to excel further. He highlighted their sibling bond, stating, "Jude always behaves like a big brother," which could benefit Jobe during the camp.

The last time siblings played together for England was 19 years ago with Gary and Phil Neville. Tuchel recalled the joy in Jobe’s reaction during their video call announcement, stating, "He couldn’t stop smiling."

The manager has also reinforced youth in his selections, recalling Josh King and experienced right-back Ben White. Tuchel emphasized the need for a “new England 2.0,” stating, "We need to bring in new players for competition; young players, fresh energy."

Among the leadership group are players like Harry Kane, Declan Rice, and Jude Bellingham, who are expected to maintain high standards. Tuchel mentioned the competitive nature of squad selection, indicating that omissions like Cole Palmer and Phil Foden are part of the process to encourage performance.

Tuchel’s approach reflects a commitment to evolving the team while ensuring that the energy and attitude remain at the highest level as they aim for success in the future.
