Bayern Munich hosts Arsenal in a highly anticipated Champions League encounter, marking an early showdown between two teams eager to progress deep into the tournament this season.

Last season, Arsenal faced heartbreak against Paris Saint-Germain in the final, while Bayern Munich fell short against PSG in a thrilling semi-final, highlighting the stakes for both clubs this time around.

Despite securing a narrow 1-0 victory against Nottingham Forest on Sunday, Arsenal faced criticism for their attacking style under Mikel Arteta, managing only one shot on target in that match.

However, the Gunners have displayed a solid defensive record in the Champions League, remaining unbeaten and yet to concede a goal this term. They will now test their defensive prowess against Bayern Munich's potent offensive lineup.

Harry Kane, aiming to extend his tally of 15 career goals against Arsenal, will be a key player to watch, although Michael Olise will miss the match due to suspension.
