As uncertainty grows around a potential transfer for Alessandro Bastoni to Barcelona, the Nerazzurri and Italy defender appears ready to extend his contract with Inter Milan for another season. While Bastoni has expressed interest in moving to the Spotify Camp Nou, the hefty price tag of €70m set by Inter poses a significant hurdle, especially since Barcelona is only willing to offer €50m. This financial gap has led to speculation about including a player in the deal.

In light of these challenges, Hansi Flick has not committed to pursuing Bastoni this summer. Sporting director Deco has proactively started exploring other options, with Evan N’Dicka from Roma emerging as a viable alternative. According to Gianluca Di Marzio (via MD), Barcelona had previously shown interest in N’Dicka during his time at Eintracht Frankfurt in 2023, when he was available as a free agent.

Currently, N’Dicka comes with a price tag of €40m, which aligns more closely with Barcelona's budget for a central defender. However, it remains uncertain whether the club will follow through with a bid for the Ivory Coast international.
