Round 15 of the 2026 Formula 1 season heads to Baku for the Azerbaijan Grand Prix, scheduled from 24-26 September.

In the previous race, Mercedes' Kimi Antonelli solidified his championship lead, extending it to 81 points after clinching victory at the inaugural Madring Spanish Grand Prix. Despite securing pole position with a stunning qualifying lap, McLaren's Lando Norris struggled to maintain his lead during a virtual safety car period, ultimately finishing in third place. Red Bull's Max Verstappen finished second after conceding his position to Lewis Hamilton, a decision that ultimately aided Antonelli.
