Manchester City is in advanced talks with Lille regarding a transfer for Ayyoub Bouaddi, the talented Morocco midfielder.

The Premier League club aims to finalize the deal this week, following their agreement to sell Rodri to Barcelona. Lille has reportedly set Bouaddi's price at 100 million euros (£85.6m).

Bouaddi showcased his skills during the summer's World Cup, starting in five of Morocco's six matches as they reached the quarter-finals. His standout performances in Lille's Champions League victory over Real Madrid in 2024 placed him firmly on the international radar.

As a deep-lying conductor, Bouaddi is expected to complement Elliot Anderson, the recent summer signing who excels in both box-to-box and defensive roles for England.

Since making his debut in October 2023, just days after turning 16, Bouaddi has made 88 appearances for Lille, contributing significantly to their third-place finish in Ligue 1 last season.
