With his contract running until June 2027, and manager Unai Emery seemingly ready to proceed without him, the club is keen to secure a departure while overseas transfer windows remain open.

A permanent exit appears beneficial for all parties involved. Although Bailey has had standout moments at Villa, his role within Emery’s squad has diminished. Given Villa’s reshaped attack, his opportunities were likely to be limited.

While Saudi interest offered a potential escape, a move to Olympiacos presents a more appealing option. Regular football in Greece, along with the chance for European competition, would allow Bailey to rejuvenate his career.
