An open-top bus victory parade will celebrate Aston Villa’s triumph in the Europa League final, marking the club’s first European trophy in 44 years. The parade is set for Thursday at 4:30 PM, starting on Branston Street in the Jewellery Quarter and covering a 4.5 km route through Birmingham city centre.

The club aims to create a “unique experience for fans and players alike” after defeating Freiburg 3-0 on Wednesday. In their statement, Aston Villa emphasized, “This will be an opportunity for those who missed out on being in Istanbul to be part of the team’s homecoming – and we cannot wait to bring the trophy home to you.”

To accommodate the event, Birmingham City Council will implement temporary parking suspensions and road closures across several streets in the city centre.

This victory represents Villa's first silverware since the League Cup in 1996 and their first continental trophy since the European Cup in 1982. During the match in Istanbul, The Prince of Wales, a passionate Villa supporter and patron of the Football Association, expressed his joy, calling it an “amazing night.”

Following the parade, the players will have a full training session on Friday before heading to Manchester for their Premier League match against Manchester City on Sunday.
