The PGA Tour and DP World Tour announced a significant expansion of their strategic alliance to include the Asian Tour, effective immediately. This collaboration aims to create new pathways for Asian Tour members, allowing top players to gain playing privileges on the DP World Tour starting in the 2027 season.

Previously, the Asian Tour had partnered with LIV Golf since its inception in 2022, introducing the International Series of tournaments that facilitated player promotion and relegation. Notably, the top two players from the Asian Tour's Order of Merit were promoted to LIV Golf for the 2026 season, with LIV Golf players frequently participating in Asian events.

Key details of the new partnership include:

• The DP World Tour will resume co-sanctioning tournaments on the Asian Tour in 2027.
• A historic relationship existed between the two tours from 1999 to 2021, prior to the Asian Tour’s alliance with LIV Golf.

This agreement enables any Asian Tour member to potentially reach the PGA Tour by first earning membership on the DP World Tour and then finishing in the top 10 of the Race to Dubai, which guarantees a PGA Tour card for the subsequent season.
