Arthur Fery acknowledges the potential media spotlight that may follow him after his impressive performance at Wimbledon. The 24-year-old player, who entered the tournament with a Wild Card, achieved a remarkable feat by defeating Zizou Bergs, Grigor Dimitrov, and Flavio Cobolli, before facing a semi-final defeat to Alexander Zverev, the French Open champion.

Fery's journey has seen him climb from No 114 to No 36 in the world rankings, reflecting a significant surge in his tennis profile, reminiscent of Emma Raducanu's rise after her US Open victory in 2021.

In an interview with Sky News, Fery shared his thoughts on handling the increased media attention:

Yes, even already a little bit during the tournament I was thinking of life after and how I was going to handle all that. It is going to be really important to handle that - the expectation from myself and also the public.

With the US Open approaching on August 30, Fery is eager to seize new opportunities and compete against top players.

He stated:

It means I can play the top players week in week out and compare myself to them. I am going to have to get accustomed to the full life of tour with more media attention, but I think I'm ready for it.

Reflecting on his Wimbledon debut, he admitted feeling nervous yet excited:

I was definitely nervous walking onto Centre Court for the first time... but it was healthy nerves. So, playing in front of the Queen, playing in front of Kate [Middleton] and Roger [Federer] was all new to me, but it was good nerves.

As Fery prepares for his next challenge, he remains focused on enhancing his skills and embracing the journey ahead.
