Arsenal has reportedly ramped up their interest in Christos Tzolis, the Club Brugge winger valued at approximately £35m. The Greece international is eager to return to English football following a stint at Norwich City.

According to a report from TEAMtalk, Tzolis is on Arsenal's radar, but they face competition from several other Premier League clubs, including Chelsea and Manchester United. The 24-year-old boasts an impressive record, having scored 41 goals and provided 43 assists across all competitions in the last two seasons.

While Tzolis’ stats are compelling, questions remain about his ability to replicate such performance levels in the Premier League. Arsenal's previous experience with signing players from less competitive leagues, such as Viktor Gyokeres from Sporting Lisbon, raises concerns. Gyokeres excelled in Portugal, netting 54 goals in 52 games, but struggled at Emirates Stadium, managing only 21 goals in 55 matches during his first season.

Tzolis, being younger, might not be expected to be a first-choice starter, potentially making this a more strategic signing for Arsenal. The club is also exploring other attacking options, with David Ornstein reporting that their pursuit of Tzolis will not hinder interest in players like Morgan Rogers. This suggests that Arsenal aims to secure Tzolis as a rotation option or impact substitute, while targeting a more prominent name to occupy the starting position on the left flank.
