Arsenal faces increasing competition from Aston Villa in their pursuit of Endrick, the young forward from Real Madrid, whose future remains uncertain. The 20-year-old Brazilian has struggled to secure regular playing time at the Bernabeu and is contemplating another move, having previously joined Lyon on loan last season.

Recent reports from Spanish outlet Cadena SER indicate that Aston Villa has emerged as a strong contender to sign Endrick this January. The player has not managed to impress the new Real Madrid manager Jose Mourinho, with fierce competition within the squad further complicating his situation.

Despite his current challenges, there is optimism about Endrick's potential to revive his career. He has been previously described as “spectacular” by former Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti, who now coaches him at the international level.

Key considerations include:

• Endrick's need for game time to develop his skills.
• The possibility that moving to Real Madrid too early may have been a misstep.

As the January transfer window approaches, it remains to be seen if Arsenal will re-enter the race for Endrick, especially given their need for additional attacking options. However, due to the player's recent struggles, they may proceed with caution. This could potentially benefit Aston Villa, who are offering a tempting project with the allure of Champions League football for the young talent.
