Arsenal is reportedly considering a move for Eli Junior Kroupi, the Bournemouth forward, in January following their unsuccessful attempts to bolster their attack before the summer transfer window closed.

The 20-year-old has been on Mikel Arteta’s radar for several months and is recognized as one of the most promising young forwards in the Premier League. With the departures of Gabriel Martinelli, Leandro Trossard, and Gabriel Jesus this summer, Arsenal's need for an additional attacker has intensified, making Kroupi an appealing option ahead of the winter transfer window.

According to The Independent, Arsenal plans to revisit a potential deal for Kroupi when the transfer market reopens. The French forward made a notable impact last season, netting 13 goals in 33 appearances for Bournemouth, which attracted interest from various top clubs. However, his summer transfer prospects were hindered by an injury; The Standard reported that Kroupi underwent surgery for a fractured metatarsal and could be sidelined for up to four months.

Arsenal had also looked into acquiring higher-profile attackers such as Julian Alvarez, Vinicius Junior, and Morgan Rogers, but none of these deals came to fruition before the deadline. Thus, Kroupi remains a viable long-term target for the club.

A January transfer could be beneficial if Kroupi recovers well. Arsenal's primary concern post-summer is a lack of attacking depth, with Christos Tzolis being the only natural winger added, while Eberechi Eze is expected to take on significant minutes from the left. Kroupi’s versatility allows him to play both centrally and on the wings, and he demonstrated last season that he can score regularly despite his youth.

However, the injury presents a risk. Arsenal must approach any potential deal cautiously, ensuring Kroupi's performance and explosiveness are intact upon his return. Additionally, Bournemouth has little incentive to sell at a discount after rejecting substantial offers this summer. Nonetheless, Arsenal's interest in Kroupi remains justifiable.
