Swedish pole vault star Armand Duplantis has officially released the anthem for the inaugural Ultimate Championship hosted by World Athletics. The track, titled 'Gold', showcases Duplantis' talents as both a world record holder and a musician, and is now available on major streaming platforms.

Scheduled from September 11-13 in Budapest, the Ultimate Championship will feature elite athletes including world champions and Diamond League winners, competing for a staggering $10 million prize pot.

Duplantis expressed his motivation behind the song, stating, "I wrote the song around representing something that's a lot bigger than yourself. I think that's what we all do when we're on the track. We represent our family, our team, our coaches, and I love that concept."

He emphasized the connection between music and sports, noting, "Music and sports are the two things that bring people together in the best way, and Gold is an expression of that."

This is not Duplantis' first foray into music; he previously released his debut track 'Bop' in February 2025 and has since launched five additional songs, amassing over 11 million streams on Spotify.

The music video for Gold was filmed in Budapest, featuring highlights from Duplantis' illustrious career. He is set to perform the anthem live at the conclusion of the Ultimate Championship.
