Andoni Iraola has expressed strong support for Liverpool’s summer transfer strategy, emphasizing that the club prioritized quality over quantity. With the highest net spend in the Premier League, Liverpool secured Bradley Barcola for a potential £123m, joining a frontline that boasts Alexander Isak (£125m) and Florian Wirtz (£116m). Barcola might make his debut against Ipswich on Friday, despite not having played for Paris Saint-Germain prior to his transfer.

Iraola acknowledged that Liverpool did not sign a right back, defensive midfielder, or right-winger but defended the club's choices, stating, "I’m very happy with all the signings we’ve made. The club has decided those signings we have done are the ones that improved our team and our position."

He clarified that the club had explored other options, including Yankuba Minteh from Brighton and Ismaïla Sarr from Crystal Palace, but opted against them for various sporting and economic reasons.

Despite the lack of a natural right-winger, Iraola remains optimistic about the squad's depth. He stated:

• Barcola, Victor Muñoz, Cody Gakpo, and Rio Ngumoha can effectively fill the role.
• He believes in the versatility of his wingers, noting that they can adapt to both sides of the pitch.
