Manchester United winger Amad Diallo has voiced his anger following the Red Devils’ disappointing 2-0 Champions League defeat against Atlético Madrid. The 24-year-old took to Snapchat after Wednesday’s encounter at the Metropolitano Stadium, posting a strongly worded message regarding his team's performance.

The defeat has intensified pressure on manager Michael Carrick, with United continuing to struggle for consistency across all competitions. Amad’s reaction came alongside outspoken criticism from defender Lisandro Martínez, who questioned the club’s recruitment and squad planning.

Amad made his feelings clear shortly after the match, posting a photograph from the game on his Snapchat account with a furious caption:

“F*****g disgrace; I have no words.”

His blunt message indicated his frustration after another disappointing result for Carrick’s side. Amad started the match on the bench but was introduced during the second half in place of Marcus Rashford. However, he was unable to inspire a comeback as United’s hopes quickly faded, especially after Leny Yoro’s dismissal and Ademola Lookman adding Atlético Madrid’s second goal.

Amad’s reaction gained attention amid growing scrutiny of United’s performances. Despite being one of the club’s most exciting attacking talents, the team's struggles have hindered individual performances.

In addition to Amad, Lisandro Martínez also expressed frustration after the match. He delivered an explosive assessment of the club’s situation, questioning the squad-building decisions and directing criticism towards technical director Jason Wilcox.

Martínez stated, “I expected more from our technical director. I have to be honest. As players, we have to do more, but it’s also important when you make a strong squad to be ready for these kinds of nights.” His comments are significant as criticism of senior club officials from current players is relatively uncommon. While acknowledging the squad's responsibility for its performances, Martínez highlighted how recruitment and squad depth have contributed to United’s ongoing difficulties.
