Alvaro Arbeloa has officially been appointed as the new head coach of Fulham FC, signing a three-year deal at Craven Cottage. This move follows the departure of Marco Silva, who left the club to join Benfica after his contract with Fulham expired.

Previously, Arbeloa managed Real Madrid, leaving the club in May and being succeeded by Jose Mourinho last month.

Upon his appointment, Arbeloa expressed his enthusiasm, stating:

"It is a real honour for me to be embarking on this new stage at Fulham, the oldest club in London. I feel a great sense of responsibility and I'm deeply grateful to Mr [Shahid] Khan and Tony Khan for the trust they have placed in me with Fulham in the Premier League."

He further shared his eagerness to connect with the fans and the team:

"I am really looking forward to experiencing the atmosphere at Craven Cottage with Fulham fans and beginning pre-season with the players next week. I am sure we are going to enjoy an incredible journey together. Come on Fulham!"

Arbeloa's coaching tenure began after he took over from Xabi Alonso earlier this year. His playing career includes 98 appearances for Liverpool and his final matches with West Ham during the 2016/17 season.

Looking ahead, Fulham's first five Premier League fixtures for the 2026/27 season include:
