The Pitch & Putt Sant Cebrià in Maresme hosted the Catalan International Open Pairs 2025, the concluding event of the historic and record-breaking V Setmana Catalana de l’Esport. This tournament, part of the official calendar of the Federació Internacional de Pitch & Putt (FIPPA), attracted 226 players from Ireland, the Netherlands, Great Britain, Galicia, and Catalonia, delivering three days of high-level competition and excitement. In the men's category, the Irish pair Tommy Hanley and Liam O’Donovan triumphed after a sudden-death playoff on hole 1, where O’Donovan secured victory with a decisive birdie. Both champions and runners-up, Evan Carry and Gareth Walsh, finished with a remarkable 26 strokes under par, while third place was claimed by Frank Dineen and Eoin Walsh with -25. Catalan duo Xavier Serral and Jan Bofill, who led after the first two rounds, ended in a strong fourth place with -25, underscoring the high standard of Catalan pitch & putt. The mixed category highlighted Catalan excellence, with Marta and Lluís Cucurull winning the title at -20. They outperformed the pairs Sexton (-12) and Conde/Alcaraz (-6), solidifying Catalonia's leadership in this prestigious international event and showcasing local talent.
