Steelers Secure Favorable Fan Seating Ahead of 2026 NFL Draft

Pittsburgh prepares to host the 2026 NFL Draft, and excitement is building in the Steel City. During a recent interview on 102.5 WDVE, Pittsburgh Steelers owner Art Rooney II expressed his concerns about the draft's fan seating arrangement outside Acrisure Stadium. Rooney noticed that the Baltimore Ravens fan section was set to be positioned in front of the Steelers fans, which did not sit well with him. He promptly reached out to the NFL to request a change in the seating layout, stating, "On the normal seating chart, I noticed that the Ravens fans were sitting in front of the Steeler fans in one section of the draft theater. So I asked [the league] to make that change, and they agreed to make that." The final seating arrangements remain unclear, with the possibility of the Ravens fans being placed behind or beside the Steelers fans. The rivalry between the Steelers and Ravens has always been intense, particularly after their last encounter. In a Week 18 showdown, the Steelers triumphed over the Ravens, thanks to a missed 44-yard field goal by Ravens kicker Tyler Loop, which sent Baltimore home and secured a postseason spot for Pittsburgh. Both teams are undergoing significant changes this offseason, with the Steelers parting ways with long-time coach Mike Tomlin after 19 seasons and the Ravens firing John Harbaugh after 18 seasons. Regardless of the coaching changes, the animosity between these two fan bases remains as strong as ever.
