Real Madrid's Dani Ceballos Eyes Future Amid Ajax Interest and Betis Dreams

Real Madrid is gearing up for a significant overhaul this summer, with several first-team players expected to leave. Dani Carvajal, Antonio Rudiger, and David Alaba are among those likely to exit as free agents, while Raul Asencio, Eduardo Camavinga, and Gonzalo Garcia could also be put up for sale. Currently, David Alaba is the only player confirmed to depart, as Real Madrid has no intention of renewing his contract, which expires in June. Following closely is Dani Ceballos, who faces an uncertain future at the Bernabeu. Ceballos has seen minimal action this summer and has just a year left on his contract, making his departure almost a foregone conclusion. He is eager for a new beginning, primarily hoping to return to Real Betis. However, he might find himself in the Netherlands next season. According to Matteo Moretto (via ED), Ajax has shown interest in signing Ceballos and has initiated discussions with his representatives. The Dutch club believes they can secure the 29-year-old without a hefty transfer fee due to his diminished role at Real Madrid. While Ajax appears to be in a favorable position to acquire Ceballos, the prospect of returning to Betis remains in his thoughts. Earlier this year, Betis officials had dismissed the possibility, but if key players like Sergi Altimira and/or Sofyan Amrabat leave, it could pave the way for a potential move. For Ceballos to rejoin Betis, several conditions must align: he would need to accept a wage reduction, and Real Madrid's asking price must be within reach for Betis’ sporting director, Manu Fajardo, and his team.
