PSG Celebrates Back-to-Back Champions League Titles at French Open

Paris Saint-Germain players showcased their back-to-back Champions League titles at Roland Garros on Monday afternoon, delighting the crowd at the French Open. Ousmane Dembele and Bradley Barcola prominently displayed the trophy on Court Philippe-Chatrier, just two days after their thrilling victory in Europe's premier club competition. In a nail-biting final, PSG triumphed over Arsenal with a score of 4-3 in a penalty shootout after the match ended in a 1-1 draw at the Puskas Arena. Dembele's penalty in the second half equalized Kai Havertz's early goal from the spot. Desire Doue addressed the crowd, expressing pride in the team's achievement: "We're bringing you the second star, we're proud and happy. We want to thank everyone at the club; it's a collective victory." He was joined by Warren Zaire-Emery, who had played a crucial role in last year’s 5-0 final win over Inter Milan. PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi was also in attendance, celebrating the team's success near their home ground, the Parc des Princes. Dembele reflected on the remarkable journey, stating, "We've lived outstanding moments with this squad and we want to win a third one, but first we have the World Cup with France." This event served as a send-off for Dembele, Barcola, Doue, and Zaire-Emery, who will join France's training camp on Tuesday in preparation for the World Cup. France is set to face Ivory Coast in Nantes and Northern Ireland in Lille, before heading to the United States, with Les Bleus drawn in Group I alongside Senegal, Iraq, and Norway.
