Packers' Josh Jacobs Faces Serious Charges Amidst Denial of Domestic Violence Allegations

Green Bay Packers running back Josh Jacobs was arrested on Tuesday and now faces five charges linked to an alleged domestic incident. The Hobart-Lawrence (Wisc.) Police Department booked Jacobs into the Brown County Jail on charges including: Battery – domestic abuse Criminal damage to property – domestic abuse Disorderly conduct – domestic abuse Strangulation and suffocation Intimidation of a victim Authorities responded to a disturbance complaint involving Jacobs at approximately 8:37 a.m. on May 23. According to NFL Media, Jacobs voluntarily turned himself into the police on Tuesday. Due to the ongoing investigation, the Hobart-Lawrence Police have not disclosed further details. Jacobs' attorneys, David Chesnoff, Richard Schonfeld, and Clarence Duhac, stated, "Josh vehemently denies the allegations, and this matter is in the early stages of investigation with important evidence that has not yet been made public. We ask for fairness and restraint while the judicial process takes its course." Entering his third season with the Packers in 2026, Jacobs, who previously won an NFL rushing title with the Las Vegas Raiders, remains a key player in the league. Last season, he accumulated 929 yards and 13 touchdowns, and he would have likely surpassed the 1,000-yard mark for the fifth time in his career had he not missed two games. The NFL acknowledged the situation, stating, "We are aware of the report and have been in contact with the club." In addition to his rushing title, Jacobs has earned three Pro Bowl selections and a 2022 first-team All-Pro accolade throughout his seven-year NFL career.
