NFL Unveils Ambitious 2026 International Games Schedule with Historic Matches

The San Francisco 49ers will headline the NFL's largest international schedule ever, kicking off the 2026 season with a game in Melbourne against the Los Angeles Rams on 10 September. This marks the NFL's inaugural game in Australia, with the matchup taking place at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG). In addition, the 49ers will host the Minnesota Vikings in Mexico City during Week 11 on 22 November, continuing the trend of international games after the Vikings’ previous multi-city road trip in 2023. This year's international slate features: Nine games across eight stadiums in seven cities on four continents. The league aims to expand to 16 international games per season, as stated by NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell. Three games will take place in London, the NFL's most frequent international venue: The Jacksonville Jaguars will play the Philadelphia Eagles at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on 11 October. They will also face the Houston Texans at Wembley Stadium on 18 October. The Washington Commanders will host the Indianapolis Colts at Tottenham on 4 October. New international locations include: The New Orleans Saints will play the Pittsburgh Steelers in Paris on 25 October. The Detroit Lions will face the New England Patriots in Munich on 15 November. The Dallas Cowboys will host the Baltimore Ravens in Rio De Janeiro on 27 September. The Atlanta Falcons will battle the Cincinnati Bengals in Madrid on 8 November.
