The Long Island resident boldly stated, "Knicks in 6. 2026 NBA Finals," alongside his portrait at Smithtown High School West, while his classmates showcased their academic and extracurricular accomplishments.

Recently, Pfeufer's prediction gained traction on social media, with one Instagram post receiving over 130,000 views. Currently, the Knicks lead the San Antonio Spurs 2-1 in the playoff series, despite dropping Game 3, which notably featured President Donald Trump as the first sitting president to attend an NBA championship game.

At just 23 years old, Pfeufer, now in sales, reflected on his decision to make a bold declaration about his favorite team, which was struggling at the time with a record of 41-31. He recalled, "I was at my good buddy’s house and I said, ‘Knicks, six, 2026.’ It rhymed so well that I just figured, all right, I’m gonna put that there."
