Max Verstappen Takes on Nordschleife: NLS4 and NLS5 Races Await

Max Verstappen returns to the Nordschleife this weekend for the Nurburgring Langstrecken-Serie, participating in the NLS4 and NLS5 races. The double-header weekend starts on Saturday at 4pm, with the first race beginning at 4:30pm, followed by the second race on Sunday at 11:30am with a start time of 12pm. This thrilling event comes as Formula 1 is off-track in April due to the cancellation of the Bahrain and Saudi Arabian Grands Prix. Verstappen has seized the opportunity to enhance his GT3 experience, partnering with seasoned endurance driver Lucas Auer, the nephew of former F1 driver Gerhard Berger. Together, they will drive a Red Bull-liveried Mercedes-AMG GT3 car as part of Verstappen Racing in a competitive field of 37 GT3 teams. Notably, this marks the third and fourth occasions that the four-time F1 world champion has competed in GT3 racing within the NLS. Verstappen made a remarkable debut last September, clinching victory in a Ferrari 296 GT3 alongside Britain's Chris Lulham. Although they had a successful return last month, finishing first again, they faced disqualification due to exceeding the permitted tyre allocation. Fans can catch the live streams of both races on skysports.com and the Sky Sports app, ensuring they don’t miss any of the action from 'The Green Hell.'
