Lídia Puyals and Jordi Bolet Crowned Champions at Cara Amon Race

The 17th edition of the Cara Amon took place this weekend in Barruera (La Vall de Boí), showcasing its reputation for extreme difficulty with a challenging 4.7 km course featuring 1,400 meters of positive elevation. Athletes faced intense heat, forcing some to crawl on all fours in certain sections. In the women's category, Lídia Puyals demonstrated her dominance, becoming the new leader of the Copa Catalana. The podium was completed by: Clàudia Sarrate (UE Vic) in second place Rosa Maria Nieto (CE UECAnoia) in third place In the men's category, Jordi Bolet successfully defended his national title and is now just one championship away from tying the historic record of three consecutive titles. Bolet led the race from start to finish, pulling away after the first 1,000 meters of elevation. The men's podium featured: Oriol Gibert (CE UECAnoia) in second place Arnau Antich (CE Gràcia) in third place In the youth categories, Carla Valldeoriola and Joan Guiteras secured victories in the juvenile category, while Uma Plans and Albert Soler triumphed in the junior category. The trophies were presented by Ramon Regí, responsible for the FEEC.
