Injury Woes: Daly and Onyeama-Christie Face Season-Ending Fractures

Elliot Daly and Andy Onyeama-Christie have both sustained arm fractures, ending their seasons with Saracens. The injuries come just after the duo played the full 80 minutes in Saracens' recent Champions Cup defeat to Bath. Juan Martin Gonzalez, another key player for Saracens, has undergone foot surgery and will also miss the remainder of the season. Daly, 33, recently secured a new contract with Saracens until the end of the 2027-28 campaign. This marks the second arm fracture for Daly in just 10 months, having previously injured the same arm during a warm-up for the British and Irish Lions last July. Onyeama-Christie, 27, continues to face injury challenges, adding this fracture to a history that includes multiple arm breaks and an ankle injury. This season, Onyeama-Christie has participated in 19 matches for Saracens, and like Daly, signed a contract extension in February. Looking ahead, Saracens will resume their Premiership campaign on April 19 against Sale, with six regular-season games remaining. In positive news, Alec Clarey is back after an injury layoff since November, and Max Eke is nearing a return to action after being sidelined since February 2025. Additionally, Toby Knight is returning to training following a long-term knee injury, as confirmed by the club.
