Clarke, who describes his brushes with death in a nonchalant manner, recalls: As a child, he fell from an unfinished building site and was impaled on a spike. At 18, he ignored appendicitis symptoms until it exploded, which typically results in flatlining. Reflecting on his career, Clarke expresses excitement about the upcoming match, stating, "I'm looking forward to it, get my career steamrolling again." With nearly five years as a professional, he highlights his experience against tough opponents, including winning the British title in just his ninth bout and facing Leonardo Mosquea in a split decision loss for the European championship.
